Just checked the Apple Store app on my iPad and noticed that my 1 month old iMac has increased in price with the same spec from £2438.00 to £2918.00 the hardware spec is identical so no updates to warrant the increase really.

Nothing to do with hardware specs improving - its all to do with currency exchange rates. Get used to it, gonna happen quite a bit in the next few years....

So the fact it's significantly increased around the world and not just UK is all down to brexit right?

Nope just the UK and maybe abit of greed too. US prices stayed the same.

Price increased started when the iPhone 7 was released and iPad's when up by £50.

But its Apple, they are allowed to do that because people don't vote with their wallets.

(From Twitter...)

Other Mac prices changed today:
Mac mini starts £479 (was £399)
Mac Pro £2999 (£2499)
iMac 4K £1449 (£1199)
iMac 5K from £1749 (£1449)

Painful but expected after the fall in the pound. :(

I think Australia has also seen price increases.

I would imagine that we wont see a price drop if the pound strengthens against the dollar though :)

at the end of the day people will pay it, and Apple know that.

Never mentioned Brexit.

These are exchange rate shifts due to market reaction. It isn't Brexit, since we've not even left. We'll have to see what happens to the exchange rate when we have left.

Price increase is due to our currency being worth less, which is directly related to the vote to leave the European Union.

Microsoft put prices up recently too; same reasoning.

They are due to the market reaction to the vote to leave the European union, of course this is to do with that.

Market reaction to the current Brexit issue.

Expect 20% increases over the next few months.
