So I pre-ordered GTA4 from a certain high street music shop and in return got a book of money off vouchers. Most of them were useless to me but there was one voucher for £5 off 2100 Microsoft points. Since it's virtually impossible to find any discount on UK MS points, I thought I'd definitely get around to using the voucher.

The voucher expires soon so I went in there yesterday, only to find they now only sold Rock Band-branded MS 2100 point cards... for £20!

I thought that these cards were usually £17.50? That would make sense since 2100 points costs £17.85 online.

Is there a price rise coming on MS points or is this high street shop being a of rip-off merchant as usual?

As an aside, when I went to pick up my GTA4 pre-order, they had all the pre-orders labelled up at £49.99. The copies on the shop floor were labelled at £44.99. They were going to charge me £49.99 before I questioned it. Cheeky gits!

There is somewhere online you can get 2100 points for £16.73

edit: just seen other places as cheap as £15.99 so yes, should be cheaper.

Nah :D actually thinking about chances are you could sell on for a profit as the nearest retail outlet price is £15-£16 ;) You aint gonna get rich, but what they heck :p

I can get them for £15 in a high-street game store.
Or just pick 'em up with your grocories & save £1.03 ;) (I'm gonna do that tonight on my way home ) (er providing I didn't mis-read the in-store label last week )
