Running a 980ti seahawk, i see no need to upgrade yet and with the prices of everything i it puts me out of that game for a while. Ive got a minor op coming up and 2 weeks to do not a lot. Got a feeling a might be tempted to try some 980ti sli. I reckon by Feb they will be selling for extremely cheap.

I used to run amd xfire and at one stage tested 3 gpus just for fun ( ps was not worth the hassle but at least the room was toasty in winter!) I enjoyed messing with the system and feel time to change something up.
I might also get a new case as mine annoys me now.

How does sli 980ti rate? seen some great stories of it and some horrible ones?

Proves what i thought i guess. Ill just stick with the 980ti as it for a while till I have some more money, might get a new case to build and perfect whilst stuck after my op.

Having upgraded from two GTX 580’s in SLI to a single 1070 then SLI 1070’s I’ve every intention of bagging a second 1080ti - once the price eventually drops considerably - to go with my current one.

I had no issues with SLI and have always enjoyed the big boost it gives in the games I predominantly play (the vast majority of which support SLI and scale well)

A mate has recently bought a second 980ti for his rig (£200 from Gumtree after haggling!) and is delighted with the boost, SLI still seems to have life in it yet in my experience.
The different stories are so strange. I loved crossfire. Ran a 7950x2 and 7990, and the x2 as well. I'll see come February about another 980ti but I just like looking into these things and I enjoyed tweaking the system to get the most from crossfire and the challenge of managing the heat etc.
