Prices on 3tb drives

Since making my comment above, I've been reading up on this. I found this look at how hard drive prices changed during and since the floods. Looks like prices will continue to fall, but only slowly.

There are only two HDD manufacturers now, so I guess the recurring over-supply situations of the past, which really drove down prices, are now much less likely. Nevertheless, as 4 TB disk manufacture ramps up, we ought to see 500 GB drives phase out and 1 TB drives take on their price point.
 
Forgot to mention - you can check how prices of particular devices have changed at camelegg.com, e.g. for WD Caviar Green 1.5TB.

It tracks US prices at Newegg, so not what we pay in the UK, but it should still give an indication of where prices are going on existing products.
