Hi, I'm planning to upgrade my current system sometime in july/august. At the moment I'm getting together a list of possible bits so I can see how much it might all come to. My main question is with the power supply. From what I have been reading the following are some of the best makes:

Antec
Seasonic
Enermax
Tagan

I was originally going to go for the Antec as these are recommended for my case (Antec P180). It would need to power the following system.

X1900XT
Conroe CPU
Conroe Mobo (I am guessing there shouldn't be too much difference in how much power these need?)
2 Hard Drives
X-Fi sound card
DVD-RW
And finally 4*120mm Fans

So basically, I'm asking which PSU you would recommend for my new system (when the stuff is available)

Cheers.

Ummm, FYI a company will always recommend its own stuff, some have gone even as far to make sure ONLY their stuff will work, luckly this is very rare.

It is really down to hopw much you want to spend, you will not really need massive amounts of power unless you are a major overclocker. SO a moderate amount of power, say 500W will probably be enough with a good margin max.

Thanks for the replies, I am not planning on doing any overclocking and I was looking at this PSU based on your replies:

Tagan TG530-U15 530W ATX2.01 Easycon SLi Compliant Modular Silent PSU (CA-008-TG)

Does anyone have a link to a review for this PSU?
