So i have a freind asking about some upgrades for his sons pc. He has picked a case and has asked the question of the usbc on tue case being compatible with his mobo. Idont think ive ever thought about that when buying and it has always just worked out. So can somebody advise me.

He has asus prime b450a matx motherboard.
And is looking at the lian li 011 air mini.

Will his motherboard allow the use of the cases usbc port?

Yes the case can use any type of USB-C header on the motherboard. My motherboard has a USB 3.2 gen 2x2 USB-C header on the motherboard rather than a USB 4 header.

Afaik, you're unlikely to have a Type-C header on an AM4 motherboard, don't think they were common until AM5.

Good point, I believe you can add a card which will have a USB-C header on it to connect to the cases USB-C port.
