Prime Day 2020

Hoping this doesn't get deleted as long as everyone sticks to the usual competitor discussion rules.

Seeing as prime day 2020 is tomorrow, what are people hoping to pick up for a bargain? And what did you get last year?

For me, Last year I picked up some more Philips HUE bulbs as it's the only time they're a reasonable price , and this year not really after anything so far

I do wonder if we'll get "black Friday / cyber Monday" too and whether that'll be better or equivalent.

Must not fall into the trap of buying stuff I don't need just because it's cheaper than usual!

I use it every time I order something, often when buying rum you can wait a day or 2 and save £5. Amazon pricing is all over the place.

I use it religiously , something that looks like a good deal is often not. But also good to setup alerts so you can nab it at it's lower price.

@Conscript Yes I would say worth it, I paired mine with switches (Dimmer switch is useful) and use routines for wake-up which makes the alarm far less jarring. The Colour bulbs are not the brightest, but they do another which is just shades of white (theres a better term for it but can't think of it) which is brighter. I thought they were a gimmick but very much converted.

You can't use a traditional wall mounted dimmer with them. They don't like it and will flash and be erratic. I replaced my wall dimmers with plain switches and the lights are now always on, controlled by a hue dimmer or app

Just had a look. Nothing I want this time. Hue bundles are included though...

Is it worth getting a newer fire-stick , mine is about 5 years old now , are they any faster or just higher def?

Edit : Nevervmind, Deal 100% used , not paying £49.99 for one when the current one works just fine, albeit a bit slow to respond.

Well this is odd , I bought 2 SSD's in the deal prices in the end , The amazon site is showing 14 in stock (at the higher price) , but got an email (expected today) saying they had been delayed till mid-late november... Odd. Guess i can expect them to cancel that then
