Prime Testing??? 2.8Ghz Opty 146?

Ive just received my Opteron 164 and have it running at 2.8 stock volts and is 41'C under LOAD

Im going to try for 3.00Ghz

do i need to chage any settings in Prime95 before i test?

Just run Small FFT's for a while followed by Large FFT's

at college at the minute got it running at 2.9 running memtest to see if my memory is ok. this should also test the cpu? as it uses 100%???

Memtest does not really test the CPU, if you get an error in test 1/2/3 or 4 it means the sytem is unstable, if you get an error in a higher test it means the memory isn't stable.

But Memtest is not a CPU test, use Prime 95's small FFT's for that

Wont go anywhere near 3. how long should i run prime? ive got it on the "tests a bit of everything" mode.

tired 2.9 and got an error within about 2 seconds. and i cant get into windows at 3

2.8 is still good...

run blend for 24 hours is a general test.

yours sounds like my 144, 2.8 is fine, 2.9 can crash out randomly, 3 just crashed out instantly.

2.8ghz is nice tho
