Prime95 fails on non-overclocked specs

Hi everyone, as per the title. Any thoughts/ help appreciated. Spec below. 8 more gbs of ram in the post.

I don't really know what to do. I did get it stable by upping the voltage. I'm not sure what the base voltage should be for my cpu, i'd thought 1.275v but have upped that to 1.35v and got stability. However, if i put the CPU FSB Frequency to 210 and the voltage to 1.3 its unstable. It seems like even a touch off the default stats leads to instability. What am i doing wrong?

Log of recent experiments...
CPU FSB 200 and CPU voltage 1.3 - seems stable. This is at base speed of 4Ghz
CPU FSB 210 and CPU voltage 1.3 instantly unstable in Prime95
CPU FSB 200 and CPU voltage 1.32 - seems stable
CPU FSB 210 and CPU voltage 1.32 - instantly unstable.
Is it just that overclocking isn't for me!?
CPU temp is 59 degrees C
205/ v 1.32 = instant failure

So I've tried CPU FSB 201 and 202 with stability. At 203 it becomes unstable so I'll increase my voltage. There hardly seem to be any gains, so OC is a lot of hype? Or i'm just unlucky? I will up my voltage and go again. The weird thing is that i have low temps even with near maxing out the voltage. Is there any problem with just going for max voltage - would too much voltage prevent OCing? Currently testing at 205 and 1.33v - going to leave it overnight. I've bought a better fan but at this rate it looks like i'll be sending it back as it will achieve nowt.

I've already flashed the BIOS so its not that unfortunately.

I set the CPU ration to 210, which gives me a processor speed of 4.2Ghz, Prime95 records a fatal error inside of 5 minutes. I have tried both OC Genie and OC Genie lite with no success.
