I recently bought the Nebula system from OC. But I'm running in to some issues. At the moment I'm not 100% sure its a hardware problem. Though I've had 2 windows crashes since trying to get the game (GTA 5) running.

My question is though, when I was checking that the overclock was working, I installed both CPU-Z and prime95 as recommended. I only kept prime95 going until I could see the MHz of the system was up to 4700. But I did noticed that there were errors immediately that I started prime95.

Is that normal?

Things like;

FATAL ERROR: Rounding was 0.4960187855, expected less than 0.4
Hardware failure detected, consult stress.txt file.
FATAL ERROR: Rounding was 0.5, expected less than 0.4

This was only after about 10 seconds of running the recommended settings in the 'check your overclock' thread.

On my non-overclocked CPU i5 2500K 3.3GHz system I never got errors.

Thanks for replying.

I get told to post in the main forum when I've posted things in customer service part, then nobody from OC actually replies.

I've only had this computer since March 3rd and had nothing but problems with it. I had actually ordered it in mid-January but stuck it out because I thought it worth be worth it.

I've sent off a webnote so I'm hoping someone will reply tomorrow, or I'm going to have to get on the phone.

Isn't there a way they can send out a profile or will this be a return situation?

I'll write a message in that section. I don't think I have done so far. I think it was in one of the other customer service sub sections.

Yea, the computer as never been fully working from day 1. I only realised of the significance of the prime95 10 second run and the amount of errors it has (if I leave it for 30 seconds all workers stop running) when I was trying to play a game yesterday.

I've eliminated any software issue. So it only leaves these hardware failures with that test. Then puttng those results in to google and others talking about overclocking saying that those types of results mean the computer is unstable with overclocks that produce those results. Most of them had left their computers running for hours while mine ran for 10 seconds and threw up errors :(

Its the i7 6700K skylake.

I chatted to adam earlier at OC. He said they use a program called Intel extreme tuning utility to check overclocks i.e. to do the cpu stress test.

So he said put it on for an hour and see how it goes. If anything bad happens then call back. So I put the phone down, set it going and within 20 seconds the pc crashed.

So he had to take the overclock off and I re-did the test and it passed the hour mark. He said use it over the weekend and call back on monday for some new overclock settings.

In a way I'm glad it crashed during the test, then he could see it for himself.

I'm going to test playing that game again later. I'll have to see how it goes. If I last more than 10 minutes in the game its a success lol

Ok, quick update. I can now play the game without windows errors or pc crashes.

I hope when I call back on monday that OC can sort me out some good overclock settings.
