Righty,

Got myself a Dual Core and want to test it before I go an overclock to make sure it is ok.

How do I run 2 instances of Prime95? I got 1 open and just hit torture test. Will this automatically run it on both cores?

Thanks for the recomendation jokester. that little prggy works real well. stressing it as i type on both cores .

currently 36c load temps at stock so plenty headroom for some overclocking. Only running the fan at 1900rpm aswell .

Its only an X2 3800+ Jokester. Sitting comfortably at 220HTT now without any fuss or vcore bump. Will try for more over the weekend. Pretty sure 260HTT is reachable.

Its a 0601 VPMW stepping btw.

Right,

I was running 1 instances on Core 0 and left Core 1 free to browse windows and such but it was mighty slow. I set the afinity in Prime to the correct core aswell. I have the AMD X2 driver installed and the reg thing from microsoft. I dont think sometihing is right here.

Any help?

After further investigating it would seem that windows is not setting the correct afinity for the cores. just did it manually and now it works. wont hve to do this all the timeto run applications properly will i?
