Hi there. Returning customer but new forum member...

I've been in need of a new computer for a while but I'm on a small budget of £800 of less. I spotted this computer that looks pretty decent. My main concern though is the motherboard. I'll be having the 2TB HDD and windows 7.

My current PC has a GTX 460, dual core i3 3.07 GHz, and and GA-H55M-UD2H motherboard, and 4 GB memory. Now, what I'm wondering is, is this worth the upgrade? I will be playing quite demanding games.

I am willing to buy a different system if anyone can suggest it, too.

not going to upgrade your cpu in that socket unless second hand tbh LGA 1156 Intel as no upgrade path here anyway,

but as you can use other bits to save money etc, you could always do a self build if your happy doing it?

something like,

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=BU-133-OE&groupid=43&catid=2384&subcat=2288

with a new card etc?

1 x Gigabyte ATi Radeon HD 7950 Windforce 3X 3072MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card £239.99
Total : £251.39 (includes shipping : £9.50).

might have to change your psu if needed and use your old dvd and hdd, cheaper to do all the bits yourself tbh but above is a good starting point for your budget if you don't mind building diy

1 x Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-Bit - OEM (GFC-02050) £79.99
1 x Gigabyte Z77-DS3H Intel Z77 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard £75.98

if you use your old case and psu and dvd drive etc? just showing you what you can get for your budget mind you, there is other options as well, as there's enough left in budget for a good psu still with this build for diy

450 would be fine but went next size up anyway,

1 x XFX Pro 550W Core Edition '80 Plus Bronze' Power Supply £54.98
Total : £65.48 (includes shipping : £8.75).

I was thinking that, but I have an Antec 300 case, and knowing so little about computers I don't know if it would fit. Is there a case you can recommend?

yes it would fit easy

okay, thank you very much. just one last question and I can quit bugging you. I have a corsair CX600 PSU, is this adequate, if not, what kind of PSU should I be looking at?

edit: sorry i can't read, just noticed you linked one

Zak why get the DS3H and HP RAM....

price? and price, no other reasons m8, change both for better please if you advice better?

i normally spec asus as i like asus, but some good reviews of the GB board and ram was just cheap for the price tbh, but feel free to alter m8, you pick better than most time and have been doing it longer here so more advice the better for user/poster

another thing I thought of, would I have to buy windows 7 again or could I copy it the new HDD? I don't know about a reinstall because it came with the computer and says nothing on the box. (sorry i'm a computer noob)

just thinking i could maybe get a better motherboard with the money i save instead

Creating a spec now,

Whats your budget for everything mate?

£800

but now doesn't need windows either, has a good psu and dvdrw already to use and a case, so just other parts, would like a 2tb hard drive as well and for gaming m8 as first posts says it all
