Hey all just after bit of advice please im looking at getting a NUC sometime this week all i want the NUC for is playing 1080p movies off HDD browsing the net and installing KODI the cheapest OC could do was £275 with windows 7 im looking to use windows im not to familar with LINUX any help be great thanks :)

Because it sounds like you want something cheaper. And linking to any kind of competitors prices would lead to the poster getting a forum ban.

Can't find this a lot cheaper elsewhere with HDD and OS included. I have one of these and would just mention that I don't find it to be particularly quick, even for web browsing so I don't know if it would be fast enough for seamless 1080p. I'm running 8.1 on an SSD.

The new Celeron NUC Looks like its going to be a little cheaper than the current one. The one that you can put a 2.5" drive in is about £110 so:

NUC - £110
Cheapest 120Gb SSD - £45
Memory - £50
Wifi Module - £15
Windows 7 Home - £79

So about £275 is about on the money.

You could look at the Intel Compute Stick but not sure how well they play 1080p footage. If you have used a tablet before maybe an Android box is the better way to go. You can do everything you want on something like a Minix for less than half the price of the built NUC.
