I've been looking into buying a cheap complete system for my brother to use and noticed the Pre-built "Primo Performance" on OcUK the spec seems to be ok for my brother to use as all he really does is play Football Manager 2008, browse the net and listen to music when on a computer.
My only question i have is, according to the spec sheet the board is running on a "via" chipset but according the "asus" website (the mobo is an asus) the graphics are "Intel" does anyone know who is right? I would normally trust a manufacturer specs over a reseller but i've seen asus incorrectly spec items before.
Also if the chipset is a "via" will this have issues if i install a standalone graphics card into it? The reason i ask is because i'm aware via chipsets are incompatible with gen2 graphics cards (yes i've been stung by the before lol)
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=FS-083-OK
I hope that makes sense, i've only just woke up + i'm from macclesfield and everyone knows macc lads are neanderthal (sp?) lol
anyway all help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks a lot
edit: I've just looked up the asus barebones unit on OcUK and it states thast it IS Intel based so i think thats answered my question
