Prince Andrew is out!

Well yeah technically Harry left.
But now he's frozen out.. A boy always needs a father though and it's very wrong for king Charles to not keep an open door for him.

It speaks volumes for the character of Charles. It's not like he can't afford it.

Especially as the royal family at large are still entertaining a pedophile like Andrew.

Still not an answer to what I think is a simple question :

*I wonder if the same level of anti-Andrew sentiment would have been reached had the girl been British and in the UK meaning she would have been above the age of consent?*
Was it in the UK? was she British?

Could it have been triggered by the just recently published memoir by Virginia Giuffre which reportedly contains further allegations/ info about Andrew?

Possibly, but the guy has been infamous for years relating to reports from ex staff which paint him as an aggressive egomaniac and likely pervert.

It's difficult to really judge accuracy because anyone close to the royals that gets fired/leaves is labelled with the grifter stance, I don't think any of this would have happened were it not for the Epstein blow up. I'd not call myself a Royalist and I honestly dislike Charles, but I think he was aiming for this from the get go. He cut back on a lot of "royals" who were more secondary etc getting funds or special treatment, I imagine the logistics of cutting your own brother off as a primary royal might be more difficult.

You know Harry is in his 40's.

And sold royal family matters for cash as a grown man.

There's going to be a block of ice between them til the end of time. How do you talk to someone who you can't trust to not be taking notes to sell on.

He hasn't raped any children though, so he probably deserves a bit of credit.

Can we just get rid of the royal family now? Does anyone like Charles at all?

William and Kate seem like they are decent people (maybe they aren’t), but the rest of them… No thanks.

I like Edward out of all of them.

Keeps his head down and gets on with it. I'm guessing we can thank Sophie for that because he certainly wasn't always this way.

Remember It's a Royal Knockout?

Anne is ok too.

Wouldn't give you tuppence ha'penny for the rest of them though. Including Charles.

Interesting perspective from a real female lady such as yourself.

Perhaps my vague knowledge about Eddy is out of date and he has been completely rehabilitated, but I thought he was originally something of a disappointment:
Did poorly at school (still got into top Uni because Royal).
Failed military career.
Dodgy behaviour when he went into private business (of course trading on his Royal credentials).
Wife caught in media sting.

Interesting choice of hill to die on.

I may be way off the mark on this, but wasn't the issue that (regardless of the age of consent in the part of the US she was resident in (Florida?) at the time) she was trafficked/coerced/[worse things]?

Edit: Absolutely not excusing anything involved, but from what I heard before it was more than just 'age of consent'

course it was triggered by the new virginia 'memoirs' and her family now sensationalising his stepback, bbc interview this am, making the most of this to cash in on the book;
could Andrew (or Trump for that matter) have sued virginia estate for defammation they nterpreted in book.

Down the line maybe we'll have abuse book by Harry.

She wouldn't have been though under the same circumstances. She was 'procured' by Epstein to be supplied to Andrew and others, at 17 that is child sexual exploitation in this country.

Age of consent refers to consensual relationships, and even then there are some anomalies in the 16-17 range. If you are 18+ and have a legitimate relationship with a 17 yo, it's still illegal to have a naked photo of them and would be classed as child pornography.

It's prince Harry I feel sorry for.. He seems like a genuinely good guy and he's been kicked out of the family for not 'towing the line'.

But a sexual predator like prince Andrew is OK?
The Sky reporter covered this and said that despite what he has done he never put anything about the Royals in papers like Harry.

It doesn't matter.. He's a rapist, why should it matter what country he was in when he was violating the children?
It matters because different countries have different ages of consent. Of course that is assuming it was a consensual relationship.
