Think I may give this a go, the few reviews I've seen seem to rate it fairly well.
I wasn't too impressed with Tomb Raider in the end - maybe this can make up for it.

Yep taking a chance as TT was poor and the art style on this looks a little different!! From what I know of it should turn out to be a high res ICO clone with POP platforming elements using the same game engine as Assassins Creed.

Not expecting to get it for a few more days as my preorder was compromised due to loads of credit card details being scammed from their website (or a dodgy employee sold them on) so loads of people who preordered from the same high st place may find it gets cancelled due to the card company rejecting it for fraud reasons!! Then obviously you have to re-order with another credit card.

What, no love for the prince? The game has been released today and not a word on these forums. Those of you that have the game please share your thoughts. I would like to know how well it has been ported and how the PC version's graphics compare. I have fairly good idea how it plays based upon reviews and the console forum.

I had it on pre-order, but after seeing reviews saying its very easy (you essentially can't die) and quite short, I decided it wasn't worth the £25 being charged.

As such i'll wait for it to drop down to the £17.99 range before I buy.

I will probably do the same. I still think it is worth getting as it looks like an artistically beautiful game which is rare these days.

been playing it this morning its pretty good

think it may be just me but the character modeles do seem well done but the levels themselfs dont have a lot within them maybe its just because ive only done the first couple of areas

This game is rubbish. Maybe ok for the console kids but nothing more. You cant actually die in the game as the woman brings you back to life, the combat is lame and you dont get the freedom that you had before. After a while the fighting turns into a chore.

You have a magic light that shows you the way so you cant even get lost like you did in the previous games lol

Graphics look nice but unless you are a nine year old who isnt very good at games then I would take a miss on this game. Soooooooo disappointing.

Got it earlier today.

Think its a really strong platformer :)and reminds me a lot of ICO but in HD gfx and cell shaded. The new art style looks much better in motion than screenshots;)

Also very smooth FPS. Not been playing it for long but I would say its a worthy POP game although you need to be a hardcore platform gamer to appreciate it as its more of the same gameplay wise but at least the controls on a 360 pad are perfect and the game flows so smoothly it feels like everything is effortless (even the DRM free install & no disc check).

This feels & plays like an old school megadrive/amiga platformer but much better looking:D

I agree the graphics are quite unique but the game is lame. But I am sure that after a while you will understand how poor this is and what little effort you need to complete.

You only fight one boss per level, no skill or thought is needed for the climbing and once you get to the boss.

Wait for him to attack - parry blow and counter attack with combos then repeat until he is dead.

Game is no more repetitive than anything else. Been playing it for 4 hours now and think its one of the best PC platform games ever made. Lots to do and see in it and the art style is very good. If you hate platform games that need gamepads then obviously this is not your cup of tea but the best thing I can say about it is that I only just noticed how long I have been playing it:eek:

To me that is always a good sign of a classic game when the time passes very quickly and you have trouble pulling yourself away from it to see what happens next:D
I recommend PC gamers give it a chance as its very easy and stress free to get into ;) plus the hardware requirements are low so no stressing about FPS issues etc etc.

I cant see the appeal myself. I was looking forward to this but its way too easy and there are no challenges in it whatsoever. Not worth your hard earned cash in my eyes.

I think its ok at best but there are better games out there at the moment

I'm actually really enjoying this one so far.

The acrobatics/jumping around is where the appeal lies in these games, and PoP does this very well.

The combat isn't great, but I don't ever expect it to be since in this, and the other PoP games (and Tomb Raider) the combat is just there as 'something to do' between all the platformy bits.

I like the non-linear style to the levels, and some of the special moves that can be unlocked are pretty cool.

Ok. Why do it on this game? A platformer (not really a PC genre), at the busiest time of year (it's not the biggest title), and on a heavily rehashed franchise that no one really cares about anymore. Of course it's going to do bad, also without releasing a demo people have no idea how it runs/plays like.

im gonna be picking this up after xmas i think, from what ive seen it looks good and from playing previous pop games i enjoyed them.

thought it was utter gash - previous pop games far superior imo - dumbed down the gameplay elements that made pop great.
