I will probably do the same. I still think it is worth getting as it looks like an artistically beautiful game which is rare these days.I had it on pre-order, but after seeing reviews saying its very easy (you essentially can't die) and quite short, I decided it wasn't worth the £25 being charged.
As such i'll wait for it to drop down to the £17.99 range before I buy.
I knew it was going to be bad. Ubisoft have never made anything good. Assassin's Creed, FarCry 2 and now this.
Got it earlier today.
Think its a really strong platformerand reminds me a lot of ICO but in HD gfx and cell shaded. The new art style looks much better in motion than screenshots
Also very smooth FPS. Not been playing it for long but I would say its a worthy POP game although you need to be a hardcore platform gamer to appreciate it as its more of the same gameplay wise but at least the controls on a 360 pad are perfect and the game flows so smoothly it feels like everything is effortless (even the DRM free install & no disc check).
This feels & plays like an old school megadrive/amiga platformer but much better looking![]()
Game is no more repetitive than anything else. Been playing it for 4 hours now and think its one of the best PC platform games ever made. Lots to do and see in it and the art style is very good. If you hate platform games that need gamepads then obviously this is not your cup of tea but the best thing I can say about it is that I only just noticed how long I have been playing itI agree the graphics are quite unique but the game is lame. But I am sure that after a while you will understand how poor this is and what little effort you need to complete.
You only fight one boss per level, no skill or thought is needed for the climbing and once you get to the boss.
Wait for him to attack - parry blow and counter attack with combos then repeat until he is dead.
Yeah Far Cry2 I agree was lame but Assassins Creed was one of their best games on the PC if not the best. IMO.I knew it was going to be bad. Ubisoft have never made anything good. Assassin's Creed, FarCry 2 and now this.

To me that is always a good sign of a classic game when the time passes very quickly and you have trouble pulling yourself away from it to see what happens next
I recommend PC gamers give it a chance as its very easy and stress free to get intoplus the hardware requirements are low so no stressing about FPS issues etc etc.
