after having a sort out of my draw full of disks i came across this game, it was one i got with my x800pro years ago but never played.

since installin it earlier i have to say, im thoroughly enjoying it so far!! been soooo long since ive had a PC game keep me entertained that wasnt a FPS.

never played these kinda action/adventure/puzzle solving games much, but this is definatly somethin special :)

was there ever any more prince of persia's after this one????

EDIT: quick bit of googlin and i suddenly rememberd that warrior within came out nto too long ago, this any good???

2 more:

Warrior Within - cracking game, awesome combat and decent story and some mental chases :D

Two Thrones - not too bad but feels very linear next to WW and has very repetative combat/bosses comparitive to WW :(

Also I happen to be fountain of knowledge (more or less) on the first 2 games so if your stuck or dyting lots in combat gimmie a shout :)

//edit:

Woah quick edit :D

As above WW is awesome: Gorey (I should bloody hope so with swords :D) and great action :>

Good god, have you been living under a rock :p.

There are 2 other games, POP:Warrior Within and POP:Two Thrones (which was released quite recently) which are highly recommended. I've played 1 & 2, though I have to say they are indeed great games and they tend to last quite a bit.

Edit: Bah beaten to it by the psychic monkey or so it seems.. :p.

Sands of Time is class, I tried the tomb raider demo the other day but it just made me want to play PoP again. I haven't played the sequels, heard they aren't as good.

lol yeah, that was my uber l33t hax0r skills there, sheer speed! :)

im not doin to bad so far, done 11% of it, did get a bit stuck on one bit when you have to go down about 3 stories in this big-ass room (running round hte edges of the walls and jumpin round like a crazed monkey might i add) to get to the bottom and move them big sets of drawers to find the passage way, that took me a while to figure out but got there in the end!

if WW is like this or better then i may have to invest in it, especially if its gory :D

EDIT: and yeah, that rock is a mountin of uni work lol :( also a combination of me just generaly not thinkin bout stuff lol. i knew about WW and thinkin about it, i remember seein the new one advertised

haha your gonna love this bit later in the game if you likerunning and jumping like a mad monkey :D

I'll try not to spoil it for you :)

Also afaik there are 2 versions of the 3rd game (Two Thrones)

DVD & CDROM

If you can get you hands on it (should be silly cheap by now as these games slipped under the radar :() then get the CD Version - full gore intact! :D

lol i do love the whole running round walls, the matrix has nothing on this!! lol

i was quite amazed first time i ran up someones back and cut them up from behind, was thinkin to my self why hadnt i played this game before cos it rocks!

lol yeah, dont give me any teasers :), wanna be amazed at the rest of the game

well i got a couple more weeks off uni so plenty of time to pick up and play the next couple of games :) work can wait me thinks...

lol almost like you know its going to happen......maybe you used the dagger to go back in time........maybe you've allready seen me get stuck...

im determined not to get stuck now! :)

Hmm... ive played one and it was on the ps2, i enjoyed it very much. Haven't played it since. I should do, but i dont own it, thinking about buying it. Bored of FPS's :(

Edit: OMG at prince of persia tripe pack! 14.99! im buying :D (well...maybe..) cant afford it atm tho :(

Sands of Time is great. I find it's one of those games you play for a while, get stuck, leave for a little while, come back and complete that part and so on. But still very enjoyable. :)

I love Sands Of Time. It's one of the best games I've ever played. When I first got it I played solidly for about 3 evenings till I finished it. It's just such a perfect game. I've played through it 3 or 4 times now. Can finish it in about 3 1/2 hours now, I think, though I'm about to play through it again so I'll be looking to push that time down.

I've also got WW and TT to play through after SoT. I heard WW wasn't so good as it focussed too much on combat. We shall see.

triple pack...nice :D though i allready have SoT so may be a bit pointless

think ive come across 2 problems :(

over the last 3-4 save points my status hasnt changed from 33%??? ive done quite a bit inbetween the save points so im sure it should be more

the other one being the screen res. when i first started i selected 1280x1024 (native res of tft) which was the highest res it would let me select, but then i changed it to 800x600 so i could play it on my projector (again, native res) but when i tryed to change it back, 1280x1024 wasnt in the list anymore, only 1280x900odd.

ive reinstalled the game, updated graphics card drivers and now it has every resolution up to 1600x1200 except for 1280x1024.

whats goin off???

Not a clue mate :(

I had the same problem - It would give me nearly all the resolutions under then sun except 1280*1024. In the end I had to settle for 1152*864

Although not exactly what you need head over to here which has a tool (somewhere :p) that allows you to define a custom resolution for the game :)

As for the 33% thing.....Don't you think you've been in the bath long enough? :p
