well i had a thread about sands of times and its glitchyness so i got warrior within, now its still a bit jumpy, not as bad as sands as time but i guess that because of the 2 year release difference.

now prince of persia is the ONLY games out of the 100+ ive tried on the 8800gt

well warrior within has the specification check before it starts and look.....

the cpu frequency ? could that be the problem ? why has it failed anyway ? E6750 it is

Could be that that checker software doesn't recognise multi-core CPUs. I played all three PoP games on my Core 2 Duo / nVidia 8600M GT without nary a hitch. Even the Starforce protection played nicely after a small update.

Anyroad, try running the game on one core only. Launch it and then ALT-TAB out to find the process in Task Manager. Right-click and choose Set Affinity and then leave only one CPU box checked.

will try it now

Doubt it. Just one core by itself is way ahead of the minimum specs for this game. Have you got any other background tasks running? All your drivers up-to-date? Chipset, graphics, sound, etc.

I am actually playing through this atm. Running it on an AMD 64 X2 4400+ with absolutely no problems.

Is it possible to set a quad core to run on two cores instead of just the one?

yerp all fine, i must be one of the handful of people that just have the glitch i suppose :p

Not that it's going to help but never had a problem on a Quad Core with Vista x64 installed.

In fact I played the game through to the end and thoroughly enjoyed it.
