Trailers/Gameplay/Interviews

Story:
The game begins with the new Prince, a wanderer and an adventurer, returning home with a treasure he earned on his last adventure. His plans to spend this wealth on women and liquor are, however, thwarted by a sudden fierce sandstorm. When it subsides, the Prince finds himself in a garden of mythical beauty, dominated by a massive Tree of Life at its center. The Prince soon meets a girl named Elika and teams up with her. Together, they venture to the center of the grand oasis, only to witness the destruction of the Tree and the freeing of Ahriman, an ancient god of darkness who starts corrupting the lands with evil. With the aid of Elika and her newfound powers, the Prince takes up arms against Ahriman's corruption, in an attempt to drive it back and cleanse the world.

I loved the original game - but the recent renovation on the pc didnt really do anything for me, hope this is as good as the first game

this game is going to be absolutely amazing :)

i reckon its gonna be one of those great games that people ignore though, with all the hype over the popular 'shooters' :(

Release date is at the top of the page. Comes out December 5.

Sands of Time is in my top 10 games of all time no doubt. Didn't quite care for the other games though.

Doh! Pretty pikshure! :D

I loved Sands of Time and Warrior Within but wasn't keen on 2 thrones (way too much use of the dagger/silly bosses)

i thought the sands of times was a minter, not a huge fan of the one that followed (where he was a bit evil or summat?) - this could be a real gem but we'll see :)

i'm playing the classic one from the psn at the mo :D

Damn you Robert1986 - was planning to do a PoP thread - but youve done a better job too...

Very much looking forward to this - considering how average many platformers are the PoP series really showed what you could do fluidly - made the Tomb raider guys stand up and rethink...

As I understand this is the game of the film thats coming out so I guess its a different philosophy from the trilogy (which I presume inspired the film) but if its still by Ubisoft Montreal then all should be good - and Im a well known Ubisoft hater :p. Hopefully the combat system is a bit more simplified compared to PoP:WW (SoT was perfect) and relies more on the fluid running perspective like Mirror's Edge...

PoP : SoT is one of the very few games Ive ever completed - and Ive done it twice back to back

ps3ud0

Wasn't it Ubisoft Montreal who did Sands of Time and Warrior Within? Then they sort of half-passed it to Ubisoft Casablanca for Two Thrones.

So wait, 1 on 1 battles are constant in this? because from watching that boss battle, I CANNOT WAIT.

This really does look miles better than I ever thought, Another game I will be purchasing and I'm quite excited about it

Well Rob single handedly persuaded me to try this game :)
I loved the fights in the last POPs, but this one on one fighting seems really cool too (similar to a fighting game). The art style disinterested me at first, but it's grown on me now; they say "you can go anywhere that you can see". The only thing that annoys me a little bit is that the main character has a generic American accent. It would have been better if it was like Mohinder from Heroes or Saiyid from LOST.
