prince of persia

It's an okish game.... Graphics aren't anything that special but they're pretty nice. The game play gets REALLLLLY repetitive though.

If I was you I'd hold out and buy something better.
 
It's not bad but it is very repetative, the combat system is not bad once or twice but get's old fast.

Wait till it's cheaper, it's worth a playthrough but only at a cheaper price IMO.
 
The original is better, and freeware now I seem to recall. Just need DOSBox.

No, its repetitive in the sense that other than the basic level layout, its all the same.

Platformer across two dimensions, fight a guard, get a potion, open a gate, run to auto closing gate, avoid slicers and spikes, fight a guard, get a potion...
 
Just completed this on 360 last night and really enjoyed it. Definately worth it for £17.99 as most retailers are advertising it at.

Thats how I see it. I never completed either game due to this. I hope Ubisoft arent sending the next Splinter Cell down this repetitive route or I'll be gutted.

The levels dont get any harder as you can choose which path of levels you want to take at any time. Theres lots of jumpyness, more jumpyness, jump some more, climb, climb some more, beat boss > next level > repeat
 
Really enjoyed it. Very easy to pick up & play also very undemanding so you can just play it and relax insead of getting stressed out with silly gameplay or hardware issues. No more repetition than any other game really as nowadays all are the same 4/5 things you repeat until completition. IMO one of the best PC platform games ever.

I'm enjoying it, even with it being easy, it's fun, and the free running is much more fun than Assassin's Creed.

With Prince of Persia near enough all of the free running was automated!

On Assassins creed it really was 'free' running and imo much better than POP's system.
 
Yeah I'm nearing the end of this and its overall very good. I never played it for longer that a few hours at a time mind you so I didn't let it get too repetitive on me

Some of the voice acting is a bit cheesey (but it tends to be in games)

Eh what, surely you mean the other way round, in AC you just had to run and he would automatically jump over things/climb up ledges etc?

I quite like it, the only thing that really annoyed me was the pathetic QTE console port - instead of flashing up the key to press, you get a tiny icon for jump, claw etc. Not natural to remember at all, especially when they are spread across the keyboard.
