Print-Screen oddness... Why the huge file size?

I've noticed when some work colleagues send an email with a print-screen image in them, they're huge.

For example a work colleague sent me print-screen of his desktop and it was over 700K.

I did the same with a larger desktop (I have dual screens, he has just one) and it's under 300K.

What on earth is making his screen capture/image size so much larger?

what format are they saved as, probably saving as .bmp
png or jpg are better

This is it, they're just pasted straight into emails (Outlook)...

So 'Print-Scrn' and then CTRL-V into an email. Mine are a fraction the size of his, although the images are far larger!

print screen into word doc into outlook, for the lose!

? Sorry ?

The issue is different people both doing a Print-Screen, both pasting that image straight into an Outlook email (Ctrl-V), and them being utterly different sizes...

Almost like one of use is compressing it, and the other isn't?
