Print Sharing

I have a Epson printer on my XP machine, tryignt o print share so my Vista system can use it.

Finds printer but cannot use due to having to have a driver installed. Cannot find out what printer it is fromt he auto uopdate.

Should I install the driver on the viosta system?

Can you not get a driver off the Epson website?

When I had my printer installed and working on both my xp and vista systems it still wouldnt work, just kept trying to download the drivers off the other computer and whichever way I tried it there was no option for the drivers needed for the computer it was not connected to

Install the printer localy on the Vista system and then go into the port settings and change the port to \\nameofyourxpmachine\printersharename.

Should work like that.

Although having said that, thinking about it, when i try to add my printer on my XP machine to my Vista laptop, it complains about drivers, installs them, but then wont print anyway!?
Im hoping that changes when my new machine has Vista has the OS.
