'Printed in our warehouse'

it means they have lost it and will get back to you when they have found it.

ocuk has a very big warehouse....thing's go missing from time to time.

Id imagine it means the order has been sent down to the warehouse and is printed before being picked

Is it safe to assume that my 5870 has arrived at the warehouse and is ready to be sent?

You've got that the wrong way round. The warehouse would be an alladin's cave of locations filled with all sorts of interesting stock. Your order has been printed out in the warehouse so some lowly picker can go to the location for the item on your order to get one for your order. Of course if the stock control is a bit out the poor picker won't find anything for you.

Your order has been printed to the warehouse, so the workers can pick what you want.
(Doesn't mean they will have the 5870 instock, if they don't have it instock, they will phone you or e-mail you letting you know)

After that is done, they will pack your order up in to a box and ready for shipping. Also, they will take your money from your bank account.

Not entirely true, I think OcUk take the money from your bank account when you order, regardless of whether the items are in stock or not.

Hmmm, not sure then. Last time i ordered, they took the money after it was picked.

That's how every other retailer does it but OCuK don't use the standard model. Perhaps your item was in stock so you didn't notice the difference. But if you read the 5850 pre order posts you'll see people got charged when they pre-ordered.

All my items where instock :p

Oh right, thanks for that mate. ;)

*might phone you or e-mail you...

If they can be bothered... Last time I bought something from OcUK, I ended up waiting over a week, even though I selected "next day delivery"... because even though the website said otherwise, one item was apparently out of stock.

That sounds like a very interesting place to get lost, so long as there's enough food.... and booze... to keep you going :)

They're currently printing out a picture of a 5870. If you read the small print on the page it tells you... you'll just have to scroll down all the huge yellow and pink text on white background with the cards specs and find the teeeeeeny tiny writi.... oh wait this isn't a popular online scamming/auction website...

*cough*

sorry :(

This is happening to me right now unfortunately and I even had the sense to call them and order items that are in stock.

Placed an order on Saturday 24th October. Everything was in stock on the website apart from the 5850 (1 item out of 12). I elected for delivery on Monday 2nd November. However, I noticed in this post there were 55 spare 5850s after pre-orders as of Monday 26th October. Great I thought, my order will definitely ship on time.

However, if you google "Overclockers" and "Customer Service" you'll come across some very interesting posts.

Bearing this in mind I had the sense to check my order and what was in stock on Wednesday. I noticed that since ordering a couple of components (PSU, Mobo, DVDRW Drive) had gone out of stock. As they were in stock when I ordered I didn't think this would be a problem, but being flexible about these components I thought I would be proactive and contact OcUK just to make sure everything was alright and to make any changes to get the order on time. I sent a webnote in and got a reply from a Linzi Campbell letting me know everything is in stock and my order would ship on time. Great, so far so good, so I book Monday off work to take delivery.

So it gets to Saturday afternoon and my order still hasn't shipped - getting concerned I ring up and speak to someone in sales and he informs me the order will ship on Monday for delivery Tuesday. That's not what I asked for and there goes a day holiday - great! Hmm, would have been nice for OCuK to contact me, but I guess that's asking too much. He tells me that as compensation they'll arrange for delivery before 10am Tuesday. Not what I wanted but I suppose it'll have to do.

So now it's Monday, 6pm and the order still hasn't dispatched despite my card being charged over a week ago and receiving two assurances of when the order would ship. When will I get my order, who knows? If you're wondering the DPD cut off is 5pm for next day.

I know the OCuK diehard fans will shoot me down, but seriously, what am I meant to do? It's disgusting that OCuK didn't contact me about this once and even more so that when I rang them willing to change the order to get it on time I was just fobbed off with generic answers. How do you call that customer service?
