Printer Configuration Card

Somebody has encountered a problem and they are saying that on an Xerox 6360 printer, there is a configuration card missing. Would this be the configuration 'SIM' which looks like this?

Yes - that's the kiddie. Network info and a bunch of other stuff is stored on there.
The idea is that is the printer dies and is swapped out, you pop the config card out and pop it into the new one and presto hey, it's becomes your old printer again.

Interesting idea, haven't seen anything like that on the Ricoh kit I work on.
