Printer for Digital Camera

My friend is looking to buy a photo printer for her digital camera... she has the Canon IXUS 50. She is looking for one of the best, so price is not an issue...

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated

Canon PIXMA Pro9500 @ about £600

or if thats a bit expensive;

Canon PIXMA IX 5000 : about £250

Definately recommend canon printers.

I use the IP965 and it's simply excellent.

It's an older model but any of canon's current mid to upper range will do a great job.

Another vote for Canon.
I have the pixma IP8500. The output is simply stunning.

My HP Photosmart B9180 is pretty cool ... if you have a big enough desk for it to sit on

Personally i don't like canon printers. have just got rid of a pixma mp170 (i need a multifunction one) because even though i had it set to use black ink only the colour ink levels still dropped.

Now got an HP C5180 and I'm much happier with that one. It uses 6 individual inks so gives decent results for printing photos.

I've had three HP's over the years and they've all been really decent. Not sure why I bought the canon, blimmin' piece of junk.
