Printer for my sis

Wondering if anyone could help,

My sis needs a printer for college to print off notes and the occasional colour page (doesn't need photo/scan function or any thing like that)

She's looking for something that's smallish/compact for lugging home on weekends, and of course cheap/good value to refill when it runs out of ink.

any reccomendations?

no recommendations but look at various ink retailers online to find which printer they sell very cheap ink for.

I can recommend the Canon MP510 - a quality printer, but has scanner and copier built in, so not what you're after.
