Any recomendations on a printer below 60£
that meets these requirements:
- separate black cartige
- ink that doesn't dry-up after a month
- reliable
would also be great if:
- can use replacement/3rd party ink
- wireless printer
- compact
Just bought the Canon All In One MP640 myself. Printer/scanner/photcopier was 140 euros. So far it seems really great, a lot over your budget but would reccomend it for sure. Comes with full tanks of ink (some brands only supply trial ink that will run out after a few prints) and the wifi on it was simply to set up.
It has 5 ink tanks, the usual 4 plus a an additional pigment black tank that is meant to print clearer txt, which it certainly seems to. Also has a lot of extra features, Auto duplex printing (prints on both sides of the paper) prints cds etc. It also got some good reviews on efficiency, printing something like 400 pages of text+colour on a set of full tanks.
I think buying a cheap printer first day may in the end cost more when you take into account running costs (how thirsty is it and auto duplexing could save you up to 50% paper) but if the 640 is anything to go by and your determined to stay on budget then its little brother the Canon MP550 might be worth a look. good luck with it
