Printer not responding (Win11)

I have reinstalled the driver twice and the printer (Canon 8050) has the latest firmware. It works off my laptop but not my desktop and I am wondering if I need a reg cleaner as there must be some corruption on the install. Anything else I can try?

I have not had this issue in a long time, but have you been doing the printer uninstall/removal from within safe mode?

Worth restarting to safe mode and trying the uninstall again.

I believe registry entries for the printers should be under Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Environments\Windows x64

Got a very old Canon iP2800 series printer myself and I can see a folder for this driver under the Drivers\Version-3\ key/folders within x64.

Thanks I deleted the reg folder and used the driver package that I had on my laptop and it worked.
