hi guys.
Not often you get printer questions but i need help.
My girlfriend has a shed load of work to get printed for tomorow and the printer aint having any of it. (always the way isnt it)
Cannon PIXMA ip2000
Ok. So its printing fine but then it starts to print like the black is running out, but on the ink monitor it says colour is nearly emtpy and lots of black left.

We change all the cartriges and now it says they are all stone cold dead, no ink, try another fresh set of carts, still says empty on all. Put the near dead old ones in and it still reads dead.

1st, any ideas
2nd, is there any way to force a printer to print even if it thinks it has low/no ink?

Thanks for any help, wouldnt usualy pester every one with blumin printers but in dia need. Going to bed now, as been trying to fix for 2 hours, will read any replys in the morning, and thanks in advance for any ideas :)

Been a while since I used inkjet but you could try running the cleaning routine to see if any of the nozzles are blocked? maybe run some sort of diagnostc if it has one? Make sure correct drivers installed etc? Also, if you are using non-branded cartridges it could be it does like those particular ones and maybe worth trying others?
