Printer Problem!! please help

Hi guys,

My printer (Canon IP4500) has just started doing a weird smudge line all the way down a page but only on Text, it prints pictures perfectly, i have done all the usual nozzle check / clean etc, nothing helps. Any ideas would be appreciated

It could have been, but it dosen't do it when i printout photo's which is why it's so weird ?

Is it not because it takes longer to print photos, so the ink is drier and not smudging?

Check the output roller, probably some gunk or crap in there. Probably causing one of the wheels/rollers to stick.

I'd agree, the fact it's a straight line looks to point to a roller picking up some rubbish and smuding the text. I wouldn't suspect a nozzle issue as the text to the left/right of the line is clear.

Thanks guys, you where right, indeed there was a tiny piece of sticky label stuck to the print plate!! all fixed now. Cheers
