printer problems! pls help

Hi,
Can anyone pls help? I'm having problems with my printer/scanner with vista. I can't get anything to printer. When I try to print something- I keep getting the message "unable to connect" The print is a Dell 810. I have updated the drivers.

Any help?

If it is a USB printer, have you tried plugging it into a different USB port...?

Still can't get the computer to recognize the printer. Have tried plugging the printer into other usb port,but still does not work.

The power light on the printer keeps flashing.

any idea's?

The computer is running vista.

I had a similiar problem and it turned out it had installed the printer twice dont know if this will help :
