Printer Recommendations?

Hi,

Looking to buy a printer that will be mainly used for printing off essays but will also need to produce good quality image prints (sometimes using photo paper or card etc).

My mate mentioned to me that his printer could write directly onto CDs as well, that would be a handy feature but not 100% necessary.

So if anyone has any printer that fits the bill to put forward, I would be grateful for the advice.

Forgot to mention, I'm using an iMac if that makes any difference.

Epson Stylus Photo R265 printer, does cd's as far as im aware although ive never tried, good quality pics and standard printing though. think i picked mine up for around the £40 mark, that was about a year ago so not sure if there is a newer model

*edit, yes there is, the R285, uses only 12w and 1.2w on standby

Printer Enhanced Resolution - 1440dpi x 5760dpi
Speed Monochrome - 37ppm
Speed Colour - 38ppm
Speed Photo - 12Seconds

should be able to find one for about £50
