Printer Sharing - MAC osx and Windows

Hi All

I have a printer shared in windows.

Its shared as HPV.

what details would i need to enter for LPD/LPR printing from a mac.

The ip of the machine is 10.0.0.7

What would be the queue nameof this printer

Not advisable- you would have to add print services for UNIX to Windows via Add/Remove Programs; Add Windows Components; Other Network and File Sharing.

An easier solution would be to tell your Mac to print via SAMBA. Are you using 10.3 or 10.4?

What would be the disadvantage of doing it this way?

Samba isnt finding the printer on the mac osx machines

I have got it working by lpr now by installing add print servers for unix
