Looking for some advice and recommendations for printers that can be used to print "on the night" at events

idea on price/quality/which type of technology ?

also, do you think not printing on the night and trying to get people to buy off of a website would lose a lot of sales that could be made there and then ?

Get a dye-sub printer.

Our event sales doubled when we got a printer and started printing instantly. Previously we used to sell them on our website only.

Now we offer a discounted rate for on the night printing and let them know that they will be available to purchase from the website but the price is more and there are postage charges.

We have them having their photo taken, choosing there favourite, printing and sticking in a strut mount and bag then taking payment all in one go. Takes about 30 seconds to print and stick in a mount.

Currently use two HiTi P510s. Costs for paper and ink (ribbon) are around 11p per 6" x 4".

For a home user what would you guys use? I have an aging canon i560 that needs to be replaced. I was considering the A3 Pixma iX6550 - any opinions on this?
