i have some pics that i want printing in some very large poster type sizes i have a company in a town near me but want to look around to get better prices as the price list he gave me is for want of a better word dodgey :(

had good results with photobox, admittedly with normal size pics, but there was a good thread a while ago on their poster deals, search this subforum for photobox, should find it. :)

edit, photobox is online printing

how does it work then do u send the picture via email and then they post it to u ??????

made an account on photobox and uploaded the pic i am wanting but not sure if it would be worth it getting a 20x8 panoramic printed for it linkage
what u think

cant log in to your account to see it ;)

post a smaller sized one using imageshack or something.

photobox will give you a good indicator on whether the image is good enough for large prints when you select the size.

what res is it?

I had this printed by Photobox on a 30x20 sheet :-

small version

The original/printed version is 7365x2559 and looks very good :)

:D

It isn't in a frame just now (using the original frame for another photobox shot) so I just unrolled it on the carpet in front of a window, thats whats causing the glare top left .

Took this shot in macro mode of the building just to the right of centre :-

This is a 100% crop on the flagpoles , on the full size print it's about 14 x 10mm :-

The shots were taken handheld with my Casio P&S

Canvas isn't cheap. I've not found anywhere that does it for an affordable price :(

You won't be disappointed by the quality from photobox. The only weak link in the chain as far as I'm concerned is my ability!

Take a look at some of the 3 & 5 up frames that are about, they must be about that sort of size.

Some 30x20 prints from photobox on my wall, absolutely STUNNING quality :) Just need to get them framed now

Tom.

I have a 30x20 print from photobox - the best print quality I have ever seen from a digital image I think. I use them without even considering the alternatives these days because every single print I have ever had back from them has been superb in terms of output quality.

Their customer service is awesome too :)

You can edit the way it's cropped when you send it to print. Click on the image thumbnail when it's in your basket and you can move and resize the crop box. Doesn't help now of course but remember for next time :)
