Salutation,
I'm posting this question on behalf of a friend. He has a vehicle build log of about 1,190 images so far and wants them printing for a photo album. The problem is none of the images have a date stamped on them. I was wondering if anyone knows of a place preferably an online store where the images can be uploaded and the images exif data can be read and printed without the need to manually edit the images. I've tried a few places online including Tesco but I'm struggling to find anywhere.

Regards -Skeng

Perhaps it'd be easier to find a program that does this for you and give the images different filenames - ie Car0001jpg to Car0001exif.jpg?

You could use Imagemagick to extract the date from the exif and print it as a caption on each image. Problem is that Imagemagick is hardly the most user friendly piece of software out there.

I have no problem getting the exif data or the dates, it's just to photoshop over 1000 images with dates is a tedious task. I'm sure somewhere out there some business has a printer that can extract and print the exif data onto an image without the need of human interaction for the editing.

Faststone viewer has the option to insert text from the EXIF data onto an image.

Tools>batch convert>advanced options>text tab>insert a variable> huge list of options from the EXIF data.

Other than that its a cracking program to have anyway.

To be honest I only found it a couple of weeks back when I was looking at putting some text under my watermark, for free software its superb.

That sounds great I'll download it now, thanks.
