Hey everyone,

Sorry, didn't know quite where to put this, so sorry if its in the wrong place!

Basically, my rubbish printer (Lexmark Z735) seems to not have an option for printing in just black only - its set to print colour all the time. When I click on print, and the on properties, there is no option to change between colour and B&W.

The problem is, I need to print some PDF documents, but they are in colour, and I would rather print them in black only. So, my questions are:

1. Does anyone know how to set this printer model to black only?
2. Does anyone know how to set up Adobe Acrobat Reader so that it prints in black only?

Cheers!

Nope, nothing at all. Here's all the options:

I've gone through all of the options, and even in the main printer settings, but there aren't any settings for this! :(

Is the printer a 2 cartridge type? Proberly not else you would have tried this allready.
Can you not just remove the colour cartridge, then the printer should print in "reserve" mode. Using just the black ink.
An old printer of mine worked like that anyway.

Unfortunatly not, its one of those 'all in 1' cartridges. I know this could be an issue, but it does print out black text, so why can't it be told to do it for everything?! grrr!

The single cartridge means that any black text has to be made up from cyan, yellow and magenta, but you wouldn't immediately know it from the mono text we saw. At normal quality, characters were fairly sharp, although much more grey than printers with a dedicated black cartridge.

From PC Pro review - you'd use less ink in colour
