printing to file... memory stick?

hi guys,

i have a printer set up in a different room (its a big bugger so wouldn't fit in the office) and anyway, if i wanna use it i either have to tranfer the files to my laptop, or drag the printer in here...

is there a way to somehow print to file, stick it on a usb stick, then jam it in the printer?

is this even vaguelly possible?

you could always network it, depending upon the connections, if you had a RJ45 connection you could plug it into an access point and go wireless, if you had a USB connector i guess you would need a print server on top of that.

dont think so

I dont know of any usb sticks that can print, so you always going to need a printer. Some printers can read usb sticks, but I think they mostly scan for pictures to print.
