Hi guys

In the market for a printer (wrong section I know) but this is specifically for printing game sheets, so characters sheets, downloaded adventures, rule book notes etc.

Idealy looking at a laser preferably with wireless as I've not decided yet where I'm locating it. Also cheap as possible as I've got to persuade the mrs that its worth getting.

Basically after advice from DM's as to what they get, for example is it worth splashing out on a colour printer, would buying one with or without duplexing pay off in the long run? would a 2 sided even work correctly on cheap paper or would you get printing bleed between each side?

Cheers guys

I currently have an OfficeJet 6500A and a cheap secondhand Samsung 2026W laser printer.
As I don't print huge amounts of resources, I do most of my printing on my OfficeJet (usually with the quality set to 'Draft' for quicker output and less ink usage).

Printing two-sided on cheap paper should be fine, I use extremely cheap recycled stuff and there's almost zero bleed through the page... maybe a tiny bit if I'm printing something with a picture with lots of solid colours. Though I can't say I've found duplexing to be worth the added cost on the printer as I don't print very much on two sides of paper beyond the occasional email or report.
I mostly do small hand-outs, often in the style of notes or bits of a map which don't require anything on the back. I even prefer to print character sheets one-sided as it means I only have to re-print the page that I update if I make any changes.

the 2026w was what I was looking at the other was the brother HL212w, but the Brother 2340DW is only an extra 20 quid. That being said its only an extra 40 quid to go colour then its only etc etc etc ........

Before you know it I was looking at spending 3k on a 3d printer lol when the only reason you wanted a printer was for some d&d stuff and to print boarding passes once a year
