Hi. I'm fairly new to printing at home and have had an issue with larger prints, I was wondering if anyone can help.

The file, sliced on Cura, has a print time of 9hrs 10min. I load it up and start printing. All good. Tidy lines, good base etc. I go away, and at some point, the print time goes from 9hrs to 1hrs and the print completion says 45% or something similar. The print is nowhere near complete and when I let it finish, the extruder does not return to 'home' it just stops.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

It’s got all the symptoms of a corrupt gcode file or SD card/usb drive. Try:

- slicing again, preview resulting gcode file in gcode preview see if it looks ok

- try different thumb drive or SD card

It was corrupt g code. Not sure of the cause, but I am now checking the code is complete before printing. For some reason, Cura has not been completing the save to "end of Gcode".

Thanks for the help
