Was just looking up when Prison Break was going to return after the mid-season break and it looks like Season 4 is where it will finish. It's been officially cancelled by Fox. The last batch of episodes starts on 17th April.

I think it's run its course now tbh and hope there's a good finale.

That's good IMO. I don't think there is many more ideas they could pull for another series.

I gave up watching near the start of the 3rd season, is it worth watching what I've missed or should I just leave it at that?

I imagine they could always come up with new ideas. IMO the fact that it's all outside the prison environment now and has completely departed from the original plot type has made it into a different series which now deserved to be ended.

Season 1 was excellent. Season 2 was better than 1, Season 3 better than 2 and 1, Season is was/is better than 3,2,1. Very dissapointed they cancelled it.

At least we have Lost still.

I'm surprised Lost didn't go first. I was a huge fan of it in season 1 and 2, but now it's just awful. Will watch the rest of lost, but couldn't care less what happens.

Season 3 better than 2 and 1
errrrrrr what

Season 3 is when it all went wrong, it was a crap season.

Prison Break went from being really good to poor, it has been dire since 3 and this news doesn't surprise me.

Been watching The Shield lately, now that is a good show. I think PB would have more potential if it was on cable, no swearing and the rather tame violence has always seemed odd considering the themes.

Oh that's a shame but it had a good run though admittedly everything really went down hill after season 2 i guess.Hopefully there should be some surprises in store for the rest of season 4 when its aired.

I think this is a good move. Will free up the writers and cast to hopefully bring us some more great series.

I've watched it occasionally with the missus, but TBH the original premise was based on having to break the guy out of a modern US high security prison before the walk to Old Sparky. Once that element was removed - i.e. the ticking clock of imminent legal execution - the tension was gone.
