Private plates

Hi ya fellas,

The wife bought a private plate for myself and have decided to sell it - only thing is, im not sure where to sell it/start looking.

Here's the plate.

Can anyone advise me of where to start canvassing please?

Try ebay? How much did it cost you originally? I know nothing about number plates.

I don't mind private plates at all but I'm afraid that's awful. It just looks like a mangled mess.

I take it that the 1 is supposed to look like a T, the 3 is supposed to look like a backwards E and the U is supposed to be a V?

That really is a terrible number plate mate! I think there's a line where too many letters/numbers have to look like different numbers/letters to make sense, i think you have well crossed that line!

Now THOSE look tidy. Can't stand plates where people have to alter the spacing/font or insert coloured screwheads to try and make words. McSad +1.

Now that's OK - to most people they'll look like normal plates if they see any of them out on the road, and they've got legal fonts and spacing.

The one in the OP just looks like someone has mashed together random letters and numbers and tried to make it look good - but failed miserably.

Not being funny but has anyone actually tried to answer his question yet? Personally I don't know. I'm guessing you bought it from the dvla for £250 (if not, you got screwed!) and I'd guess ebay would be your best bet.

Must say I though it was Sue F at first glance. Cant imagine it will be worth more than £500, probably best to put it up for sale through newreg or similar, and hope someone wants it. eBay is normally a waste of time for reg plates.

There's a guy in Kensington / Chelsea are who has a Bentley with the number plate '2B' and an Aston (or Mazerati) with 'NOT 2B'. Liked that.
