I'm having a strange problem with a customers PC, which won't run Pro Evo 5 anymore. I built the computer for him which consists of;
Pentium D 2.66 @ 3ghz
512mb PC3200
6600GT with latest drivers
80gb SATA HDD
Asus P5LD2 Motherboard
It used to run the game perfectly. I then installed a dvd writer and since then it's had problems. After the dvd writer was put in, the game used to load but the screen would remain blank but you could still hear the sound in the background. Now the game refuses to load at all! I've replaced the dvd writer with the original drive and checked all the cables, but it still doesn't want to know. When you try to run the game, the cd drive spins up, PES5.exe appears in taskmanager and then disappears after 5 seconds.
Does anyone have an ideas?
I also tried the game on my laptop, which runs it perfectly, so it can't be the cd.
I've got a new PCI-E graphics coming just to see if it's that, but I'm out of ideas now, bar a windows re-install.
