Hey lads

Is there any way to disable the auto player select function? I want to manually select players as using only 1 player to defend against an attack when the CPU can control 3/4 gets a little old.

Well you can switch players quickly if your any good at the game with L (default). Once you get used to it its pretty effective.

That's the problem :/

I do use L1 to switch player but I'm just trying to avoid the situations where I'm the only person who seems to be defending. When I'm near/in their area, there's always 3/4 of their players constantly harassing me. When they're in my area, it's all up to me. My players just stand there, they certainly don't harass the bloke with the ball

Any tips for defending then?

Sounds like you're using a PS2 pad. So if you keep hold of Square, it will bring one of your players over to the player with the ball to put pressure on him. Then it should make it easier to tackle.

dont think so, but it becomes second nature once your used to it. be wary though, pulling another player can potentially leave an attacker unmarked.

at the player selection screen (where you decide whether you're home or away) if you go across one (or two i can't remember) you can change it from semi-auto to manual.

Cursor settings I seem to remember its called, you have varying degrees to pick from and indeed manual.

pro evo 6 is just about the worst pro evo ive played for player selections, amongst other things

alternatively you could get some tape and tape your 'X' button down whenever you play pro evo
