Pro gaming pc build

I want to build a pc for gaming and want a pretty sick set-up. Looking at spending £1200 give or take. I will need a case and everything to go in it.

Ive been looking at the Intel i7-2600k 3.4ghz (sandybridge) processor with a water cooler for OCing and thats about as far as i got.

Any help would be appreciated! I built a pc recently and i had a few compatibility issues and i dont want that again so im seeking advice!

Personally I went for a 2500k, spend the £80 difference on an SSD or better gfx. Much betterthen getting 100-200mhz more on the CPU. Many 2600k and some 2500k will hit 5ghz but very few will be 24/7 stable but 4.6-4.8 is achivable by both easily.
