Hello Guys,

I have just brought a E7200 DuoCore. P35 S3G Gigabyte Motherboard, Cosiar XMS2 4 GB RAM 800Mhz.

Currently have a 500 Earthwatts PSU and 3650 running as well

Now my question is... how much can I overclock (if any) this using stock heating?

I don't want anything major, just a minor increase with v.little effort or knowledge... I've read two guides and still none the wiser on how I can do it with stock cooling.

Cheers

Nick

Get coretemp and just monitor the temps, with stock cooling thats the thing thats going to limit you the most. Try and keep it under 70 degrees and you should be sweet, so otherwise follow the guides you have read.

I would have said, 3Ghz would be available with a 7200

My best overclock on the e7200 is @ stock is
294fsb
9.5 multiplier
1:1 ratio on my ram Or any ratio that lets my ram run at or under its reccomended mhz
Voltage on auto

This gets me 2.9ghz i think or 2.8
However i can reach 3ghz or even higher but its not stable, it does a blend test for an hour but when i restart my pc it fails to post

Also use real temp to monitor temperatures or speedfan, its good to use atleast more than 1 program
