I've just ordered an XFX 5850 and I'm wondering how the "Integrated HD audio controller" works?
Does it just show up as a seperate sound card within the system? Or does it just piggyback off the motherboards sound controller to output to the HDMI?
It reads like it could be a seperate sound card, if it is, what's the quality like? Is it comparable to on-board or is it closer to a reasonable sound card?

I was using DVI -> HDMI with a seperate 3.5mm lead for audio in my old setup.
