Probably a stupid MSN related question

I've used the same MSN/Windows Live Messenger account for a few years and over time I've added so many contacts I simply want to start over again.

I know if I simply delete the contacts (without blocking them) then the contacts will disappear from my list but they can still message me.

Is there any way to clear my list of contacts completely and start again?

Either block them or use another email address and start afresh.

I don't really want to use a new email address or account as it's all tied in with my Windows Live ID/Technet account.

If I was to delete and block all the contacts and subsequently changed my mind on a couple could I re-add them even though I'd blocked them previously?

You could always delete them, block them BUT export your contact list before. So you could then add them back in.

I presume you are using the WLM MSN client?

Yup..

No probs. Glad to have been able to help. Btw do you use the Mess.be patch or A-patch on WLM? They patch WLM to remove the bloatware and rubbish that MS put in WLM.

Either use one of those patches or switch to Pidgin. :)

Personally I use the Mess.be patch to remove the cr*p and enable polygamy.

Good lad. :)

I used to use that but I've switched to A-Patch. Trying to switch to Pidgin but I keep forgetting to install it. I'm installing it now!
