Probably A Stupid Question - Fan On NB

Hello all, this is probably a redundant question, but I just want to check before I buy.

I can run my E4500 at 400*8 on my P35 DS3L, but it has abysmal NB cooling, with temps on it hitting >70c. So, I plan on sticking a cheap 40mm fan on it, and controlling in by my Zalman controller, but I just wanted to check that it will make a decent amount of difference, as funds are tight.

I've stuck a 40mm x 20mm fan on my DS3P as the NB used to get roasty hot, with the fan on it's nice and cool.
