Probably easy memory question!

I bought some Teamgroup 2666MHZ memory recently, and noticed in HWINFO it shows as 1333MHZ. I was expecting 2666, is this normal?

Yes its correct, its double data rate memory so 2 x 1333 = 2666.

Not if you read the bottom corner where the memory clock is 666.7 which = 1333 effective.

OP: you need to enable XMP in the bios for it to work at it's rated speeds.

Enabled XMP, now it says 1333Mhz. I take it from that its all sorted
